FM newsroom – office, Czechia. The Scott.Weber Workspace network, which operates about two dozen projects with flexible office spaces in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, is expanding with another Prague address. The company opens its largest project so far in a renovated historical building on Republic Square.
70,000 sqm since the pandemic
At the latest project of Scott.Weber Workspace in Prague, the flexible office space spreads across all floors of the building, also known as NR7. It will provide its users with a complete work environment and a wide range of services. It is also the largest project to date for Scott.Weber Workspace, which has been building and operating flexible serviced offices since the coronavirus pandemic. It currently operates offices with a total leasable area of over 70,000 sqm.
Classical elements in a modern environment
Originally a neoclassical building, which has housed insurance companies and banks over the years, and has also been used by political parties and the car manufacturer Laurin & Klement, has undergone extensive renovation since 2022. Thanks to it, the interior of the building, with more than a century of history, has been transformed into a modern administrative space. The total cost of the renovation of the building, which will begin serving companies in the second quarter of 2025, exceeded one billion crowns, according to e15 information.
In a completely unique space that combines original historical elements with the modernity and comfort of a 21st-century working environment, Scott.Weber Workspace offers more than 4,600 sqm of workspace. It includes not only 90 offices and 17 meeting rooms but also an internal atrium, a roof terrace and a winter garden.
A space for work, conferences and social events
“The entire building is designed to turn everyday life into a completely extraordinary experience, from top-notch gastronomy under the leadership of Marek Koucký to a roof terrace with a view of Prague with a hundred spires to relaxation areas such as a wellness or winter garden,” explains Jana Hogg, Real Estate & Development Director at Scott.Weber Workspace.
NR7, located on the corner of Náměstí Republiky and Králodvorská Street, next to the Kotva department store, is not just another place for work and relaxation. Thanks to its location in the centre of Prague, it will also serve as a space suitable for organizing various events, conferences, and other social events and meetings. As part of the reconstruction, the largest of the four halls built in the building can accommodate up to 130 people.
“The centre’s program activities focus on well-being and work productivity by connecting the work environment with experiential education and community,” says Martin Holý, Commercial Director at Scott.Weber Workspace, about the centre’s capabilities and plans.
