LIWO Group and Óbuda University are continuing their scholarship partnership, giving three students the opportunity to gain practical experience in facility management. The ten-month programme combines financial support, professional mentoring and involvement in real business projects to help students prepare for their future careers.
Bridging Education and Industry
The Hungarian-owned group of companies, founded 33 years ago, launched its joint scholarship programme with Óbuda University in October 2025. Three students received support during the first year, beginning their professional development under the guidance of the company’s experts.
The ‘LIWO – For the Talents of the Future’ scholarship programme aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and corporate practice. As an international facility management group, LIWO Group offers students the opportunity to work alongside experienced mentors on real business projects, gaining exposure to complex industry challenges while still at university.
Each selected student will receive a scholarship totalling HUF 1 million over ten months, enabling them to focus on their professional development alongside their studies. Experience from the first year indicates that the programme also supports career orientation and helps participants become familiar with the corporate environment.
Supporting Academic Research and International Experience
The programme supports students in preparing for the Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (TDK), where they can explore topics related to business challenges and professional issues. Academic research, mentoring and corporate projects form part of an integrated professional development programme.
Participants will also have opportunities to gain international professional experience, helping them develop a broader industry perspective and acquire knowledge relevant to their future careers.
Investing in the Next Generation of Professionals
“Supporting the next generation of professionals is a long-term investment for us. Through cooperation between higher education and the business sector, we can create an environment in which students encounter real professional challenges while still at university, learn from experienced mentors and discover how the knowledge they have acquired at university works in practice. Our aim is for them to complete the programme not only with more experience, but also with a clearer professional direction and vision for their future,” said Ferenc Kis-Szölgyémi, CEO of LIWO Group.
Building on more than three decades of industry experience, LIWO Group considers knowledge sharing and the development of future professionals long-term corporate priorities. Through its partnership with Óbuda University, the company aims to support talented young professionals and strengthen the industry’s future workforce.
