STRABAG Property and Facility Services is set to enter the Romanian market through the acquisition of two companies within the Brenneka Group. The deal will strengthen STRABAG PFS’s Building Solutions business while expanding its footprint in South-Eastern Europe.
STRABAG PFS has agreed to acquire 100% of the shares in Brenneka Install SRL and Samivo Instal SRL, both based in Bacău, with operations also in Bucharest. Signed on 11 August 2026, the transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approval.
The acquisition marks STRABAG PFS’s entry into Romania, adding to its existing operations in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg. The company provides technical and infrastructural facility management, building services engineering, property management and industrial services.
Technical Expertise Joins The Portfolio
Founded in 2007, Brenneka has grown into a significant Romanian building services provider, employing more than 230 people. Its capabilities span HVAC, plumbing, electrical and automation systems, fire protection, municipal networks, engineering and design, and construction and fit-out services.
According to the official announcement, the transaction forms part of STRABAG’s ‘Build-and-Buy’ strategy and is intended to provide a platform for further Building Solutions growth in Romania and South-Eastern Europe.
STRABAG PFS Managing Director Stefan Babsch highlighted Brenneka’s strong market position and technical expertise, saying the combination would broaden the group’s service portfolio and open up new growth opportunities.
Platform For Regional Growth
Brenneka founders Mihai Ojog and Lucian-Florentin Vultur see the deal as the next stage in the company’s development. They expect Brenneka’s nearly two decades of local experience to benefit from STRABAG’s resources, expertise and international reach.
For STRABAG PFS, the acquisition adds established technical capability in a new market and signals further ambitions for its integrated building and facility services business across the region.
