KPMG has signed the largest new office leasing deal in Budapest this year, securing a purpose-built headquarters on the city’s Váci Road. The 8,000 sq m development, scheduled for completion in autumn 2029, reflects the growing demand for workplaces designed around long-term business needs.
A headquarters built around the occupier
Developer WING will deliver the seven-storey building under a build-to-suit (BTS) model, creating a headquarters exclusively for KPMG’s Hungarian operations. Located close to the firm’s current office, the building will accommodate around 1,100 employees and include a 300-seat conference centre, a dedicated meeting floor, a landscaped internal courtyard and 140 underground parking spaces.
According to the official announcement by WING, the project represents the largest new office leasing transaction in Budapest so far this year and is one of the few single-tenant BTS office developments currently underway in the Hungarian capital.
Supporting long-term workplace strategy
WING says the project has been designed around KPMG’s operational requirements, workplace culture and future growth plans. Tibor Tatár, Head of Residential and Office Developments at WING Hungary, described corporate headquarters as an extension of an organisation’s culture, values and long-term vision.
KPMG Hungary’s CEO, Rezső Rózsai, said the company wanted to remain in its established Váci Road location while creating a modern workplace that supports collaboration, employee wellbeing and client experience. Sustainability and energy efficiency also played a key role in the company’s decision.
Proven expertise in bespoke developments
The scheme reinforces WING’s position in Hungary’s corporate headquarters market, where it has delivered bespoke facilities for companies including Magyar Telekom, Ericsson, RTL Hungary, E.ON, Allianz, General Electric and Philip Morris over the past two decades.
KPMG was advised by iO Partners Hungary during the lease negotiations, while WING’s legal adviser was DLA Piper Hungary.
