Here is the new HQ of E.ON in Atenor’s BakerStreet

FM newsroom – office development, sustainability. At the beginning of June, ATENOR handed over the first 16,643 m2 building of BakerStreet. The office complex in South Budapest was designed and built to the highest ESG criteria. The certified building has become the HQ of the E.ON Hungária Group, where 1,200 employees have already moved in.

A new and exciting addition to the South Buda district, the 1st building of the high-end BakerStreet features eight office floors, an internal garden, modern services and a four-level underground garage. The office complex, designed by Artonic Design Architecture Studio, is a forward-looking building, not only in terms of its appearance but also in its technical features, Realista.ingatlan.com reports.

Environmental focus with people-centered excellence

The office building is BREEAM Excellent certified, offering innovative technical and technological solutions and meeting the highest energy and environmental standards. Thanks to a heat pump system, the building can use more than 30% renewable heating energy without carbon dioxide and recycle ground and rainwater.

The Access4You Gold rating – which classifies the extent to which the building is accessible to users with special needs and reduced working capacity – is an excellent example of a highly people-centred workplace.

The building allows for an ideal hybrid operation. The desk-sharing system significantly reduces the environmental impact of office life. A four-level underground car park, bicycle storage, electric car chargers and showers for employees all serve the convenience of those working in the building.

“Sustainability, the use of forward-thinking solutions, is one of the most important issues of our time and impacts the operations of successful companies worldwide. For an attractive office workplace, but especially for a headquarters that defines the image of a company, ESG considerations have become unavoidable, and energy efficiency has already become one of the top priorities in the real estate market. The office of the future is environmentally friendly, human-centred, inclusive and breathes together with the city,” – said Norbert Schőmer, Managing Director of ATENOR Hungary.
