DRFG acquires Signum Work Station in Warsaw

FM newsroom – office. Investment group DRFG has expanded its presence in Poland with the acquisition of the Signum Work Station office building in Warsaw.

A landmark move for DRFG

The modern property offers 32,500 sqm of leasable space and is strategically located near Frédéric Chopin Airport, Property Forum reports. Originally built in 2009, Signum Work Station underwent partial renovation and upgrades five years ago. Beyond office space, the property includes retail and storage areas and 869 parking spaces spread across underground and outdoor facilities. Major tenants include Ringier Axel Springer, Mondelez International, Columbia, and PPD.

The property holds a BREEAM Excellent certification, underscoring its focus on sustainability and environmentally conscious operations, with amenities that encourage sustainable mobility.

“In Poland, this is the first office building in the hands of the group. In the coming period, however, we also see potential in this area and are therefore actively looking for other opportunities,” – shared Jan Pelíšek, Director of Real Estate Development CEE at DRFG Group.

TriGranit to lead modernization and ESG upgrades

The seller, a Luxembourg-based group backed by an international investment bank, was represented by Cromwell Property Group, an Australian real estate investment firm acting as administrator. The transaction, supported by DRFG’s flexibility and internal financing capabilities, was completed swiftly. Although the purchase price remains undisclosed, DRFG plans to secure bank financing next year.

Additionally, TriGranit, a development company acquired by DRFG in August, will oversee the modernization of building technologies, property management, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. TriGranit will also focus on enhancing the premises for both existing and prospective tenants.
