Dome Group Expands Digital Building Management with Acquisition

Hungarian facility management company Dome Group has acquired a majority stake in Grüne Antwort Kft, a specialist in building automation and system integration. The acquisition strengthens the group’s digital building management capabilities, with a focus on energy efficiency, predictive maintenance and data-driven operations.

A Step Towards Smarter Building Operations

According to Portfolio, the acquisition’s strategic value lies in Grüne Antwort’s manufacturer-independent software platform, which integrates mechanical, electrical and building management systems (BMS), sensors and controllers.

The platform uses energy market prices, weather data and building operating characteristics to optimise building performance. It also supports BIM integration, ESG monitoring, predictive maintenance and the future introduction of robotic building operations.

Strengthening Integrated Facility Management

The acquisition complements Dome Group’s existing energy and facility management services, alongside the fire protection, security and low-voltage expertise of its subsidiary Pentolt Kft. Together, these capabilities allow the group to offer integrated building solutions covering security, energy optimisation and data-driven facility management.

Founded in 2003, Dome Group employs approximately 500 people and manages 2.5 million square metres of property. Its clients include BMW, Audi, Infineon and Erste Ingatlanalap.

Energy Savings Through Digital Technology

Founded in 2012 by two university students, Grüne Antwort has developed into a 15-person specialist team in building automation and industrial system integration.

Its proprietary solutions include BMS building management software, EnergyClipper energy control, IRMA maintenance management and PMS data collection systems.

With clients including Schott, Opel and MÁV, Grüne Antwort reports that its solutions can deliver electricity savings of up to 20–30%, demonstrating the energy-efficiency capabilities behind the acquisition.
