FM newsroom – Cleaning, Awareness Training, Hospital. B+N Group, one of Central Europe’s leading facilities management companies, has launched a nationwide training programme for hospital cleaning supervisors and site managers. Alongside professional development, the initiative focuses on shifting mindsets and strengthening empathy and human connection.

The B+N Group—one of Hungary’s three largest employers—has recently launched a social awareness campaign titled Look around and see!” It aims to shine a light on the everyday work of the company’s more than 15,000 employees, who help maintain cleanliness in hospitals, office buildings and public institutions.

The first pilot session, held in September, offered not only attitude-shaping guidance but also hands-on, in-person training. The programme combines leadership communication, teamwork and conflict-management skills with a deeper focus on emotional intelligence and empathetic leadership.

B+N Leads Awareness Effort – Enhancing the Hospital Environment

The goal of the training is to ensure that hospital cleaning supervisors and site managers can support their teams not only professionally but also on a personal, human level. As a result, participants are better equipped to handle sensitive situations while meeting hygiene standards—ultimately improving patient comfort and contributing to a more positive hospital atmosphere.

“The openness and engagement shown by participants far exceeded my expectations. B+N’s leaders in the cleaning sector are truly committed to developing themselves and improving cooperation. I am convinced that the knowledge gained here will bring real, tangible improvements to everyday working relationships, which in turn will enhance the quality of life for patients in hospital,” said Dr Tibor Jármy, European legal specialist, management consultant and coach, who leads the programme.

Ferenc Kis-Szölgyémi: Our Staff Are the Real Everyday Heroes

“Our colleagues are the real heroes of everyday life. Without their work, hospitals simply couldn’t offer a clean, safe and functional environment for patients, healthcare staff and visitors. It’s important to us that, alongside their professional skills, their communication and teamwork abilities continue to grow. This not only makes their own work easier but also helps make patients more comfortable. The training aligns perfectly with B+N’s long-term strategy, which emphasises employee development and the value of human qualities. We are still at the start of the project; however, we are already looking into launching similar programmes within our international subsidiaries,” said Ferenc Kis-Szölgyémi, CEO and owner of B+N Group
