The model that enables SMEs to evaluate the advancement of their digital approach
The award-winning publication addresses a critical need for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. “The book aims to provide a theoretical basis for the development of a digital maturity model to help SMEs assess where they are in the digitalization process,” – Dr. Mezei explained. He emphasized that the model enables businesses to evaluate the advancement of their digital resources and approach, allowing them to respond more quickly and effectively to environmental changes, such as unexpected crises like a pandemic.
How to stay competitive in an ever-changing environment
“The model we have developed is dynamic, IT-oriented, and less focused on management theory. However, it is designed to support management in navigating digital transformation.” – Dr. Mezei elaborated on the model’s practical implication.
The innovative approach outlined in the book integrates theoretical insights with practical solutions, empowering SMEs to enhance their digital capabilities and remain competitive in an ever-changing environment.
This recognition by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences underscores the book’s value as a significant contribution to both academic research and real-world business practice. It is a vital resource for SMEs aiming to understand and implement digital strategies effectively.
