B+N Hosts First Green Cleaning Day to Promote Sustainable Facility Management

The event brought together B+N leaders and independent experts to share insights and prepare cleaning division managers and staff for the challenges and innovations associated with sustainable operations.

Green Cleaning: From Commitment to Expectation

In her keynote, Krisztina Domjánné Berta, Deputy Director of FM at B+N Referencia Zrt., emphasised that green cleaning is no longer just a matter of commitment—it is becoming a clear expectation. Legal regulations, tender requirements, and the rise of ESG principles all point in the same direction.

Éva Szabó, PR Director at B+N, highlighted the importance of authenticity in sustainability communication. Without real, verifiable green solutions, companies risk falling into the trap of greenwashing.

Real-World Success Stories & HYGON Solutions

The event also showcased practical implementations. Zoltán Szőnyi, Regional Manager, Industrial Cleaning Division and Endre Ujszászi, Portfolio Manager presented how EcoLabel certification was successfully achieved in various work environments. Their message: sustainability does not mean compromise—clients and employees alike appreciate the green direction.

Ferenc Bodrogai, owner of Assist-Trend Kft., introduced HYGON private label products. These eco-friendly hygiene papers and cleaning agents not only reduce environmental impact but also help support B+N’s broader ESG goals.

Looking Ahead: ESG & CSRD Compliance

To close the event, Viktor Szabó, expert at Qmark Consulting, outlined how ESG compliance ties into EcoVadis ratings and what companies can expect under the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) starting in 2025.

B+N’s aim goes beyond compliance—it seeks to lead by example and set standards for the facility management industry, proving that business success and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
