A healthy workplace is about more than fresh air and clean desks. Signum Work Station in Warsaw has earned the WELL Health-Safety Rating for an approach that brings cleaning, emergency planning, building operations and occupant well-being together.
Certification Is Not Simply A One-Off Badge
At Signum Work Station, the WELL Health-Safety Rating assessment covered cleaning and disinfection, reducing contact with high-touch surfaces, the use of safer cleaning products, and emergency preparedness. The building was also recognised for its business continuity and safe re-entry planning, tenant health resources and stakeholder engagement.
Piotr Iwanowski, ESG Manager and BREEAM-In-Use Assessor at CBRE Poland, who coordinated the certification, said the process led to clearer responsibilities, more systematic reviews and closer cooperation between property management, technical services, security and external contractors.
The WELL Health-Safety Rating is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. Signum Work Station will therefore need to review and update its procedures regularly to demonstrate continued compliance. Certification is not simply a one-off badge: maintaining it depends on how well procedures are followed and reviewed over time.
Workplace Quality Gains Ground
The achievement comes as Warsaw’s office market continues to tighten. Demand for modern office space reached 282,800 sq m in the second quarter of 2026, while the vacancy rate fell to 8.5%. With limited new supply, management standards, occupant comfort and safety can play a bigger role in how tenants assess office buildings.
Marta Zawadzka, Head of Leasing & Asset Management at TriGranit, said tenants increasingly expect workplaces that support employee wellbeing as well as efficient business operations. For landlords and asset managers, recognised health and safety standards can help demonstrate aspects of building quality that prospective occupiers may not immediately see.
Building Credentials
Signum Work Station is located on ul. Domaniewska in Warsaw’s Mokotów business district and provides more than 32,400 sq m of leasable space. Its sustainability and mobility credentials also include BREEAM Excellent and ActiveScore Platinum certification. The WELL rating adds another independently assessed standard to the building’s operational credentials.
