What Prague Office Workers Really Want

A long-running survey of employees at Prague’s Brumlovka office district shows that workplace satisfaction increasingly depends on what happens beyond the office itself. Good food, easy transport, green space and useful local services are all shaping how employees feel about where they work.

The latest survey found that 96% of employees are satisfied with Brumlovka, while the proportion describing themselves as “definitely satisfied” has more than doubled, from 23% in 2016 to 47% in 2026.

Food and Transport Matter

Food remains an important part of the workplace experience, with satisfaction with Brumlovka’s food offer reaching 87%, up from 79% in 2022. Around 70% of respondents use workplace canteens at least once a week, although 40% also bring food from home. Visits to restaurants and bistros have fallen from 53% to 39%, Property Forum reports, based on the survey carried out by STEM/MARK for Passerinvest Group between May and June 2026. The research gathered 2,822 completed questionnaires.

Transport services are also having a clear impact on how people use the district. Public transport remains the most common way to commute, while 38% arrive by car. Use of Brumlovka’s free electric shuttle buses has increased from around one in five employees in 2022 to almost one in three in 2026, with 96% of users satisfied with the service.

Green Space Becomes a Workplace Amenity

For property and facility managers, one of the clearest findings is the value employees place on green and outdoor space. Among respondents who consider sustainability important, 62% identified greenery, outdoor areas, places to relax and support for biodiversity as the most significant factors. Rooftop terraces, parks and landscaped public spaces are among the district’s most popular features.

Hybrid Working Is Staying

Working from home remains firmly established, even though its use has dipped slightly since 2022. Some 61% of respondents now work from home at least once a week, and 66% expect to continue doing so.

That makes the quality of the physical workplace and its surroundings particularly relevant. If employees are splitting their week between home and the office, attractive amenities and well-managed shared spaces can give them practical reasons to value their workplace location.

For FM and property teams, the survey points to a broader definition of workplace quality: managing an office destination increasingly means paying attention to food, mobility, landscaping, public space and other everyday services alongside the buildings themselves.
