Schneider Electric has unveiled the Schneider StarCharge Fast 720, a high-performance DC charger designed specifically for commercial and industrial environments. With 97% efficiency and intelligent load management, it offers facility managers a powerful new tool to drive cost-effective and sustainable operations.

Designed for High-Demand Sites

Schneider Electric has introduced the Schneider StarCharge Fast 720, capable of delivering up to 720 kW of power. The system can charge 12 vehicles simultaneously and, in boost mode, provide up to 600 kW to a single vehicle — an essential feature for mixed fleets including electric trucks, buses and passenger cars.

For facility managers overseeing logistics hubs, industrial parks or large commercial premises, this level of performance translates directly into reduced turnaround times and improved operational continuity.

Flexible Architecture, Simplified Installation

The decentralised architecture allows operators to position up to six charging dispensers within an 80-metre radius of the power centre. This flexibility enables sites to adapt charging infrastructure to existing layouts while minimising grid connection requirements.

By reducing cabling complexity, streamlining installation and lowering noise emissions, the solution supports smoother project delivery and enhanced user experience — key considerations for property and asset managers balancing technical performance with occupier satisfaction.

The charger is supported by comprehensive lifecycle services, from installation to tailored maintenance programmes. Through the EcoStruxure Energy Asset Portal, operators benefit from 24/7 remote monitoring and technical support, helping to maximise uptime, anticipate maintenance needs and maintain predictable operating costs.

Infrastructure as a Competitive Advantage

Electrification is accelerating. Across Europe, 16% of newly registered vehicles are now fully electric. In Hungary alone, more than 101,000 electric vehicles were on the road by the end of last year, according to the Energiaügyi Minisztérium.

As Áron Géczy, Schneider Electric’s marketing director, highlighted, based on the company’s survey, 75% of Hungarian corporate decision-makers would choose an electric vehicle over a model powered by an internal combustion engine if adequate charging facilities were available at the workplace.
