FM newsroom – hospitality. Swissôtel has opened its first property in the Czech Republic, strengthening its European portfolio with a flagship presence in Mariánské Lázně. The move underscores the brand’s focus on high-value heritage assets and experiential wellness-led operations.
Positioned in the Unesco-listed spa town of Mariánské Lázně, the new Swissôtel marks a strategic expansion into a mature Central European market with strong year-round demand for wellness and leisure travel. Its proximity to the Singing Fountain and landscaped spa parks enhances the property’s long-term asset value.
The launch follows recent regional openings in Montenegro and Romania, reinforcing the brand’s momentum across Eastern and Central Europe.
A Property Designed for Operational Efficiency and Guest Well-Being
“This is a landmark opening for our brand in Central Europe. We are introducing a hotel that blends Swiss vitality with the town’s unique character, offering both leisure and business travellers a premium experience rooted in well-being and balance,” Jean Wendling, Vice President Operations Management for Premium, Midscale and Economy brands – Eastern Europe at Accor told Property Forum.
The hotel features 102 guest rooms, 22 suites, and a presidential suite, combining classic architecture with technology-enhanced guest experience. Operational highlights include the brand’s Vitality Room, equipped with wellness walls and circadian lighting to support guest recovery—a key differentiator in the wellness-hospitality sector.
The Pürovel Spa & Sport anchors the property’s value proposition, offering saunas, heated pools and a Hammam, ensuring strong ancillary revenue potential. Swissôtel Mariánské Lázně offers a multi-outlet F&B (food and beverage) programme designed to maximise footfall and diversify revenue streams
Meeting Spaces Tailored for Versatile Use
For corporate and small-group demand, the property provides four meeting rooms, the largest accommodating 22 guests—ideal for high-yield executive retreats, workshops and premium incentive travel. Additional cocktail and event spaces offer flexibility for product launches and small-scale activations.
Expansion Phase Set for Early 2026
A further development stage, due early 2026, will integrate five historic buildings into a unified Swissôtel complex centred around a glass atrium. Once completed, the expanded property will offer 130 rooms and suites, enabling better scale, improved operational leverage, and enhanced positioning within the European spa-hotel segment.
