It is World FM Day 2023! It is time to celebrate the entire FM profession working on making a real difference!
IFMA, the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals is inviting all participants of the sector to celebrate World FM Day 2023 on 10th May. This year’s theme is ‘Making a real difference’ referring to the importance of the job people in the FM industry do each day.
It’s a day of recognition for facility managers and the entire FM profession, the behind-the-scenes heroes of the built environment to share well-deserved thanks for keeping our facilities healthy, safe and productive – worldfmdayinfo.ifma.org
The organisation encourages all to celebrate World FM Day and the vital work that workplace and facilities managers and the wider industry do to contribute to business success worldwide. The initiative aims to raise the profile of the facilities profession where its practitioners influence the health, safety, productivity, and well-being of people who use the built environment.
“Today is World FM Day, and we would like to thank you for your selfless service to the worldwide FM Community. Your unprecedented adaptability, collaboration and steadfast commitment have contributed significantly to the safety and development of workplace strategies for all those who depend on the built environment.
Many of you know that a changing paradigm has dramatically accelerated due to a renewed focus on key FM emerging topics. Specifically, sustainability, resilience and corporate responsibility are now centre stage for leaders worldwide. These topics significantly impact corporate decision-making, and the Facility Manager stands at a crossroads where they all converge.
Thank You FM’s for “Making a Real Difference”. Your dedication has enabled us to emerge from the pandemic and will carry us through to a brighter tomorrow” – John Carrillo CFM, IFMA Fellow Chairman, Global FM
On this day and throughout this week, FM institutions around the world organise webinars, and discussions to raise awareness of the crucial role of workplace and facilities managers.
IFMA also created a list of online resources of publications, articles, events and videos for professionals.
